Welcome to the new look of HasserVision.com! It's actually like the fifth look for my site since I put it up back in August 2002. But back then, it wasn't a blog... just hard-core clown porn. But then there was that horrible accident with the squirting flower... and some unforeseen viral outbreaks... so I had to go a whole new direction with the site. So this is it!! I hope you all like it. It took me awhile how to figure out how to do this type of look... because... yeah... I'm an idiot.
There's been quite a bit of activity in my since my last update way back in Novem...mumble-mumble. I don't know where to start really. So I guess one thing that's made a huge difference in my life. I went back to work at KPTV Fox 12 Oregon. Things just weren't working out for me at KOIN 6 News. Not that there's anything wrong with KOIN(cough-cough) though. But what's really bizarre is the ongoing cycle of people switching from KPTV and KOIN, and vice versa. No sooner did I get back to KPTV, and I learned a producer there was quitting and going to work at KOIN. Revolving door I tell ya!
I do miss my friends at KOIN. They're a great group of people. But coming back to 12 is like a homecoming of sorts... except this time I didn't get the shit kicked out of me by my fellow football players. Bastards...

Speaking of comings and goings, I've been pretty depressed lately, because one of my best friends in the whole world, and compatriot, is moving away from Portland. JL, aka LL Robot is leaving soon to live far, far away.His girlfriend (the assistant news director at my station) got an amazing opportunity to become the news director at our company's station in Greenville, South Carolina. I really don't know much about that area of the US. My mother says it's a shithole... but she's going on her childhood memories of when she lived there back in the late 1940's, early 1950's. I'm sure it's come quite a way from the dirt fields and segregated drinking fountains of Mama Hasser lore. I sure as hell hope so, at least. Anyways, it can't be that bad... isn't South Carolina where Andy Griffith used to be sheriff... or crimefighting attorney... or something or the sorts?
Regardless, JL and KyAnn are going to be sorely missed... not just be me. I'm going to be driving across the country as JL's co-pilot here in a couple weeks... so there will be plenty of good stories when I return... or maybe even along the way!

Moving on... I recently bought my very first brand new car! I went with a Scion xA. It's a cute little hatchback with a pleasingly different feel. If you've read my blog before, you might know I had the same 1988 Toyota 4Runner for nearly 12 years.So, it was difficult trading it in for a new car... especially after getting it back from being stolen last year. But I have many fond memories of the 4Runner... so in a way, it will always be with me.

Well, that's about all I have for now. I guess there's a few things I should be doing around the house... like finally getting around to taking down the Christmas tree. It sure is nice to look at... but it's pretty damn dead now. I keep having this image of it going up in flames. Not a good thought...
But I guess I could chop it up and use it for firewood. Mmm... fire.
